staying at this camground is a great social holiday, where you meet lots of great people and make new friends if you like. Facilities are clean and staff is friendly and organized. Electricity cut at night after a storm was fixed in 10 min.
Location is great, just next to the beach. With a family you will only use the car to go to the supermarket or shops :)

Centre agréable et très calme (coté CCAS), bonne situation par rapport à la plage et la piste cyclable.
Confort très moyen des hébergements (vétuste et très petit pour 4 personnes). Il manque lave vaisselle (plus écologique!) et sèche cheveux.
Le logement n'était pas très propre à notre arrivée.
Peu ou pas d'activité (ou sinon avec complément) et animation pas top le soir.
Un gros plus pour la région qui est vraiment très agréable, dommage que nous aillons eu peu d'information sur les choses à faire, des conseils du camping... notamment les jours de pluie!

Good camping site, closest to the beach in that area, although still 15 - 22 min walk.
Our intentions were simple: body boarding the whole week, didn't care too much about the rest. Magnificent beach, miles and miles of beach in both areas, no buildings to be seen.
Looked at Google maps in chose this camping site.

Very nice camping site, we will come back with several families like every year.
One thing: it would be more comfortable if the water buttons have a longer time-out (douche, lavabo,..) as it is really very short for the moment (at least for saniblock 4)

We had a brilliant time and would have liked to have stayed longer. The only thing we didn't like were the unpleasantly bright yellow lamps , a couple of which were right next to our pitch, and we had to keep our camper windows closed by curtains above the bed to be able to sleep. It would also be nice if (perhaps only at certain times) an area of the pool could be reserved for swimmers only : at times it was difficult to swim without being interrupted by constant splashing and kids jumping into the pool.

We stayed in our campervan without previous booking met lovely people on site with whom we have kept in touch-we got stuck in the sand and wete immediately helped by re work on in arranging to have us towed out and an alternative site allocated to us. Wonderful stay thank you. Noelle Quinn.

Great campsite, we had a lovely time. We understand that it was low season so not many facilities open. It would be useful to have the opening times for the bar on a sign as it seemed to open at strange times.
Swimming pool was amazing - very warm and the water was sparkling and crystal clear.

Not much has changed...
Some upgrades would be good. Particularly in the shower/toilet facilities. Fortunately the shower at the beach entrance/exit was repaired during our stay.

We love the area and the beach. Camping is nice and quiet during the off-season. Lots of maintenance going on but that is to be expected. One guy took way too long loudly "cleaning" a very small area.

centre de vacances tres agreable, malgré un logement sous toile pagan manquant de mobilier (une table intérieure, 2 à 4 transats, un équipent electrique correct (plus de trois prise 230v) seraient les bienvenus), des coins ombragés autour de la piscine seraient les bienvenus aussi, des grilles de barbecue neuves.
C'est un trés bon camping, malgré sa capacité d'acceuil, le personnel et les emplacements, font qu'il reste "familial".

bon séjour dans l'ensemble, personnel agréable et serviable dans l'ensemble. Dommage du peu de visites proposées (seulement une sortie proposée). En revanche énormément de sport de proposé et dommage qu'il n'y ait pas d'endroit autre que le terrain de jeu des enfants pour le pratiquer car tous les matins celui-ci était inutilisable par les autres usagers possibles.

Séjour vraiment très agréable. Camping tranquille accueil au top. Seul bémol le loueur de vélo.Je pense que sa place est plus à l'éducation nationale avec un temps complet de 18 heures par semaines. ça lui permettra de moins soupirer.

La proximité de la plage, le calme, les animations, le confort des installations et les équipements du camping en général sont de très gros atouts!
La disponibilité de l'accueil, le nettoyage de la piscine (la ligne d'eau n'est jamais nettoyée, dommage avec un si beau bassin!) sont des points faibles.

Nous venons dans ce camping depuis de nombreuses années..plus de 30ans,nos enfants en ont profite toute leur enfance et leur adolescence et continuent de venir nous rejoindre des que leurs emplois le leur permet..
Seulement une maladie tres grave ne nous a pas permis de prendre un forfait saison et de venir seulement ponctuellement lorsque les soins lourds et douloureux me permettaient de venir me ressourcer dans ce lieu magique de campeole où je me sens revivre des que j y respire....et puis voilà en rémission pour combien de temps?nous avons appris que nous ne pouvions plus pretendre au forfait saison car nous n avons pas pris de forfait pendant ma maladie...le directeur serait il depourvu de toute humanite?
En tout cas ce camping n a rien perdu de ses qualités...et je continue de revivre chaque fois que j y sejourne...merci tout est parfait.....

Beaucoup de questions sans objets car je suis venue hors saison (ex : pas d'animations, peu de résidents...)
Le personnel du camping connait mal le secteur. J'ai du aller à l'office de tourisme de Lit et Mixe pour avoir une carte du secteur avec les lieux à voir : vous pourriez avoir cette carte à donner à l'arrivée (sous forme de bloc comme dans les hôtels). Par ex, on peut aller jusqu'à la source d'eau ferrugineuse à pied ou en vélo par la route forestière qui longe le camping ! Manque de signalisation sur la route avant d'arriver au camping : confusion Vielle/Saint Girons/Vielle Saint Girons. Ce n'est pas la première fois que je viens, mais chaque fois, je dois chercher...

Camping très agréable et bien situé dans un espace naturel boisé et légèrement vallonné.
Multiples choix d'emplacements et de voisinage selon les désirs et le confort souhaité.
La proximité de la mer et le nombre de surfeurs étrangers présents dans ce camping favorisent le dépaysement et la détente.
Inutile de prendre sa voiture pour satisfaire l'essentiel.
Le personnel est charmant, seul bémol parfois un peu d'attente à l'accueil aux heures d'affluence.

Sejours très agreable camping très calme et tres bien situé. St Girons plage reste familiale et à l'abris d'une expansion massive et commerciale.

Camping calme et dynamique à la fois.
Camping accès sur le surf, du coup peu de monde à la piscine
L équipe d animation au top!
Et très bon point la douche pour les chiens
En espérant que tous les campeole sont aussi bien.

Très bon séjour au camping. Personnel sympathique. Animateurs au top avec les jeunes. De bonnes soirées avec des animations variées. Nos ados sont ravis et prêts à revenir l'année prochaine.

How to get to the campsite Les Tourterelles
Road
Coming from Bordeaux or Bayonne, take road N10 and exit at Castets, Vielle Saint-Girons. In Vielle Saint-Girons, go straight after the traffic light and follow Campéole Les Tourterelles. When you reach Saint-Girons Plage, take the first exit on the right of the roundabout, and follow the road for about 50 m.
