Description
Right on the edge of the “Merveilles Valley”, as its name suggests one of the wonders of the Mercantour National Park, 18 km from Ventimiglia (on the Italian border) and within a stone’s throw of the Riviera, the village of Breil sur Roya stands between the Mediterranean and the mountains, 300 m above sea-level.
The winds carried in from the Golf of Genoa give the region a very clement maritime microclimate with very pleasant springs and autumns.
A stroll around the town’s narrow streets will open your eyes to its extremely rich architectural heritage, a reminder of its glorious past.
The river flows into an artificial lake created at the heart of the village to the joy of trout anglers and kayakers alike.

Close to the campsite, on the coastline, you can visit Menton, famous for its Lemon Festival, Nice for its Carnival, Ventimiglia for its bustling market and Monaco for its sheer panache.
