A Provencal break in Avignon.
On a small private island on the banks of the Rhone, the Ile des Papes is a modern and very comfortable international campsite, ideal for families with young children. You can use it as a base to tour the Provencal countryside, dip your toes in the Med in under an hour’s drive, discover a host of celebrations and festivals : the lavender festival, he olive tree festival, the wine festival, the feria in Nimes. In July, the famous and fabulous Avignon Theatre Festival will hold a string of surprises in store for you !
What makes this site appealing.
From 27/06 to 28/08, the campsite shuttle will take you to or from the station or airport for 2€ per person (subject to availability). You can order the shuttle when you book your holidays by informing the central booking office or the campsite of your time of arrival.
This shuttle can also set you down at the stop for the shuttle for Avignon (free). Contact us for low season services.
The campsite specialises in hosting sporting groups (excluding July and August – see the “Good to know” box).
A mini-cruise to discover Avignon and Villeneuve from the river, followed by a walk across the famous Pont d’Avignon (included in all rented accommodation bookings in July and August).
